OpenDocument support in KWord 2

Speaker: Girish Ramakrishnan

One of the goals for KWord 2 is to have full fledged support for OpenDocument. KWord 2 builds upon the OpenDocument features provided by KWord 1.x. Unfortunately, due to the massive restructing of KOffice code due to introduction of technologies like flake, the KWord 2 code base is , well, flaky :-)

This summer I got sponsored by NLNet to work on improving ODF support in KWord. I will talk how I approached this daunting task, the framework I have put in place for regression testing and standard compliance and the new OpenDocument features in KWord 2.
