QtWebKit

Speaker: Simon Hausmann

WebKit is a rapidly developing browser engine with a focus on standard compliance and code quality. Its large collection of features have been condensed into an intuitive API, QtWebKit, through Qt 4.4. Simon Hausmann talks about the entire process: the design, the classes and most importantly how to use QWebView and friends. QtWebKit provides application developers with advanced features such as content editing, built-in SVG support as well as a bridge connecting the JavaScript engine with Qt. This presentation also introduces the WebKit community and its development process to the KDE project - everybody is invited to contribute.

[Simon Hausmann]

Simon Hausmann is a free software advocate disguised as a software developer at Trolltech. He works on Qt and WebKit but in his spare time he likes to contribute to git. Away from the computer he is currently sharpening his culinary skills with spicy Indian cooking and Italian pizza, though his hidden weapon remains the Tiramisu at Troll parties.
