Programming for embedded Linux

Speaker: Harald Fernengel

Linux plays a major role in the embedded space. Did you know that even coffee machines are running Linux these days? This talk will show how to get your favorite Qt and KDE application onto those machines. Focus will be on Qt for embedded Linux, the differences to Qt/X11 and how to survive in the embedded world as a desktop developer. Challenges like cross-compiling, running from remote NFS shares and remote debugging will be explained. Target audience is everyone who has some experience with Qt and KDE applications and would like to extend his knowledge about moving to non-PC systems.
