Deepening KDE and Qt collaboration

Speaker: Sebastian Nyström (Nokia)

Mr. Sebastian Nyström will discuss in his presentation how the collaboration between KDE and Qt can be further deepened. He'll address specifically what kind of new opportunities Nokia¹s acquisition of Trolltech will bring to the KDE community. Mr. Nyström will also discuss why Nokia acquired Trolltech, how Nokia plans to continue the development of Qt and how Nokia acts as an active member of the open source community.

[Sebastian Nystrom]

Sebastian Nyström is responsible for overseeing Trolltech¹s strategic direction and day-to-day operations. Prior to his role as Vice President, Qt Software, Sebastian was Director of Technology Strategy at Nokia. Sebastian joined Nokia in 2003 from McKinsey & Company, a management consultancy, where he was leading strategy projects. Sebastian holds a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Helsinki University of Technology.
