KMyMoney - the BEST Personal Finance Manager for Linux Users
Speaker: Thomas Baumgart
KMyMoney is the Personal Finance Management application for the desktop. With a history going back into the days of KDE2, KMyMoney is known as a stable application comparable to commercial ones like MS-Money, Quicken and Moneydance and called by many of its users “the last application needed to finally migrate to a free software desktop”.
The presentation will cover a bit of the history of the project, a brief overview of the layered design of the application, an overview of the project organization, the measures taken for quality assurance, some brand new features and of course the developers plans for the future. A possible scenario how different KDE applications can interact in the future to serve a small business will round up the presentation.
